Many adoptive parents assume breastfeeding is not an option for them, but breastfeeding the adopted child is possible! With a little ingenuity, the right gear, and enormous perseverance, breastfeeding the adopted child is a possibility. Expectations regarding the amount of induced breast milk should be modest in some situations. Because of this, parents may want to consider supplementing breastfeeding by tube at the nipple with formula or donated breast milk.
